Answers

1. What is a Shrink Band?
Also known as a Flat Band or Cut Band, a Shrink Band is a pre-cut piece of "plastic" PVC tubing that has been cut to a specific dimension. A Shrink Band is applied to a container that will then be shrunk by the application of heat, once shrunk this Shrink Band provides tamper evidence.

9. I am currently using standard Shrink Bands and Preformed Shrink Bands, what additional options do I have to make my product be more popular on the market or stand out from competitors with the use of my tamper evidence product?
With the use of a standard clear Shrink Band or Preformed Shrink Band, what is becoming more popular is the placement of a Perforation. A Perforation is a die cut placed either vertically or horizontally on the band providing an easy to tear scenario. With the placement of a Perforation (a die cut), consumers that once had trouble opening a certain item due to the strong tamper evident Shrink Band could now just very easily tear it off. Please visit our Perforation page for further details.
With the acquisition of Ideal Sleeves International in Wilkes-Barre, PA we have the capability of printing from 4 Color Process to 10 PMS Colors FLEXO that will enable us to print images, logos, bar codes, nutritional facts, and other artwork that will make make your product stand out from the competition and at the same time provide tamper evidence.
